Mr. Robert Smith, our principal sponsor, showing the concept of the open shelter to Mr. Claudiu Dumitriu , from Brasov, visiting our Open Shelter on the 3rd of October 2015

Mr. Claudiu Dumitriu, after the visit of our open shelter, posted on our Facebook page, his great impressions:

" Dear friends,

Last Saturday I visited Robert Smith in Oradea and his famous concept of the "open shelter". It was an amazing experience spending almost a whole day with Robert and his team (especially Carol Lazar - the FPCC manager), walking in a beautiful landscape with happy and free dogs. Although I traveled more than 10 hours from Brasov to Oradea with a train from last century, with a scandalous infrastructure (430 km), could'nt sleep almost at all, I charged my "batteries in this beautiful place. I heard a lot about Oradea, I met shortly Robert at a government meeting in 2012, I always promoted his project , but I never taught that I will be so delighted when I will visit the place. Robert is a wonderful person with so many ideas, with a great soul (helping every where he is needed - in meantime he was organizing help for the refugees). I thing from everything I saw until now in animal protection this was the project that impressed me at most. Robert explained all the possible authorities that Neuter and Return is the only human and efficient solution, but how he sais " the lazy and stupid ones" didn't implement at all a successful plan. He also finance the Oradea project with his all funds, from years, to show everybody that is functioning. This man should be an honor citizen for every thing that he did, but that in a correct and thankful country, not in Romania. When you see this freedom , this joy , you reconsider everything about a shelter / It is clear that such a place is not easy to find , resources to buy a big land, but it is for sure a beautiful life for he dogs. For a long time, I never used so many superlatives, but I was very pleased to have this experience. Robert should be present in every important meeting about Romanian dog issue. Instead of that I see many theoreticians who are saw like experts and never be really involved in this dramatic problem. Robert also made a very generous support for Stefanie Fink film about Romania consisting in a donation of 3000 Euros . Again, it was one day to remember, all my consideration , admiration and respect for Robert Smith and his work. We also did like a little interview, but because I have to do everything on my one, running from one place to other, it will take some time to publish it, but it is worth to wait.

Thanks, dear Robert Smith "
