Today, another 25 dogs left our shelter to begin a new life in Germany and the Netherlands. This is an emotional moment for all of us, and a significant step toward a better life for these four-legged friends, many of whom have waited for years for a chance at happiness.

We are aware that opinions differ regarding international adoptions and that only Neuter & Return solves the surplus dog problem. However we support international rehoming, as the number of local adoptions is extremely low and it gives a small number of dogs a worthwhile existence.

By contrast, in countries like Germany and the Netherlands, the number of stray dogs, thanks to public education on sterilization and responsible pet ownership, is virtually zero. These countries are exemplary models, and we hope that one day Romania will also reach this level of human awareness and responsibility.

Our dogs are not forgotten once they leave. Our international partners closely monitor their integration into their new families and provide us with regular updates. In this way, we remain close to each rescued soul – even from afar.
