On April 8th, 2025, our team completed a new capturing mission in the Rontău (Sanmartin) colony. The mission was supported by local authorities, with the presence of two representatives from the local municipality, and the Animal Police, who were of great help in handling the more challenging situations. We are extremely grateful for their support.
The cooperation from the locals exceeded our expectations. Due to the presence of the authorities, people began voluntarily handing over their dogs for sterilization, promising that we would return them afterward, following sterilization and identification. Our main goal is to sterilize as many female dogs as possible (ideally all of them) to drastically reduce the population of stray dogs.
Although we’ve been to this location before, we know that there is still much work to be done. With continued support, the mission can succeed. This time, our team was assisted by a much larger group, consisting of children, and we greatly appreciate this. We were very happy to see the enthusiasm of the children who joined our team, trying to help, because the key to ending the suffering of abandoned dogs is educating the new generation about the importance of sterilization.
This is a battle that seems endless, but we hope that future generations will be better prepared to face it. To continue missions like this, we need moral and financial support. We will do everything in our power to ensure that our four-legged friends can live healthier lives, free from diseases and constant breeding.
