This week marked the restart of our catch, sterilize, and return program, carried out with the help of two young, committed veterinarians from Croatia. We are deeply grateful for their tireless work and genuine enthusiasm. Their professionalism and energy brought renewed strength to our mission.
Additionally, we completed the sterilization of 10 dogs that were captured last week in the Sânmartin area—another significant step toward sustainable stray dog control. In total, we managed to sterilize 45 dogs. After surgery and recovery, most of them have been—or will soon be—returned to their original environment or back to their owners.
Sterilization is the only effective and humane way to manage stray dog populations. It not only prevents uncontrolled reproduction but also gives these animals a real chance at a better life.
We move forward. For them. With dedication.
