Do you remember the dog found in the Hotar–Aștileu area, the one with her leg tied tightly and a rope around her neck? We named her Sandy. She greets you now – she is safe but still scared and distrustful of people. Sadly, it’s very likely she will spend the rest of her life in the shelter.
At the time, many people offered their support and help to save her. However, after we managed to catch her and provide the necessary care, that support disappeared, and Sandy was forgotten.
The costs of her rescue were significant: multiple trips to capture her, a complex surgery, postoperative treatment, and ongoing care. All these expenses were covered from the sterilization fund, which led to a reduction in the number of spaying and neutering procedures we could perform.
